Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on best practices, research, and emerging trends in the field. Keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.Assist survivors with navigating legal and medical systems, including providing information on reporting options, court procedures, and referrals to appropriate resources.Conduct community outreach and education programs to prevent sexual violence, including presentations, workshops, and training for schools, businesses, and community organizations.Provide information to victims and their families as well as address the importance of therapy to aid in the healing process.Work collaboratively with medical professionals, law enforcement, and other service providers to ensure that survivors receive appropriate medical care, forensic evidence collection, and legal assistance.Attend events with the victim to ensure their confidence and comfort during the process. Provide emotional support to survivors of sexual violence or assault by providing guidance and reassurance regarding processes and procedures.Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position. Location: Onsite at the Ahni Center in Durant, OK. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Sexual Assault Response Advocate provides support and advocacy by helping sexual violence or assault victims navigate the legal, medical, and emotional aspects of the recovery process.
